Making of House in Japan
3d modelingScreen grabs from modeling and post-production of House in Japan, personal project rendering. This is actual house in Japan, designed by Shigeru Fuse Architect, I saw the photograph in a Japanese Design magazine and decided to match it in 3D.

Great blog i just love it! Found out about it just yesterday and i might say uv done some great job here:} keep going! Just one question why do you need the normal map pass? Do you use it in postproduction later in photoshop or ? And abot the z-depth pass your using that 1 in photoshop right?

thanks Vuk!
I use normal pass in photoshop, because you can select by color-range based on direction. For example, everything that is looking down, like floors, cusions of furniture, tops of table will all be similar color in normal map, so I can select this color-range and add a slight brightness or any other adjustment. Z-depth pass is also for photoshop, I use it slightly to add blur to far away parts, it is used well with lens-blur in photoshop.
